Born in South London in 1997, Franks was drawn to the visual arts from an early age, demonstrating a natural aptitude for drawing and visual observation. Alongside her professional career in architecture, she has continued to cultivate her artistic practice from her London studio, where she develops a body of paintings, sketches, and colour studies.

Her practice embraces the expressive qualities of mark making and the balance between intention and chance. Working intuitively, she welcomes the notion of happy accidents, allowing each gesture and layer to inform the next.
